Transmission network (Mumbai Operations area)

Subsequent to the generation of power it is very essential to evacuate the power and reach it up to the end users. We have commenced with Hydro Power generations (Khopoli + Bhivpuri + Bhira) and then to Thermal Plant at Trombay

Power generated is transmitted through overhead towers lines and distributed to the end users by underground cables.

The copy of the letter issued by the Secretary to Govt. of India dated 17th March 1915 for Transmission of Power (from Hydro to Greater Mumbai) is attached below
