Lodhivali is a small Village in Khalapur Taluka in Raigad District of Maharashtra State, India. It comes under Mohopada - Wasambe Panchayath. Plant is located 56 KM towards East from District headquarters Alibag. 58 KM from State capital Mumbai

Lodhivali is surrounded by Karjat Taluka towards north, Pen Taluka towards west, Maval Taluka towards East, Panvel Taluka towards west.

Year of establishment

Plant was installed on the Tata Power Transmission plot, where Tata Power had an abandoned transmission camp. The plot then converted into NA & MIDC for set up of power plant in 2006-07.

• Dual Fuel conversion carried out to enable to run the machines on Fuel + Gas
• Gross Capacity 42.24 MW

Historical data

• In 2006, Sulzer France make second hand Heavy Furnace Oil (HFO) based DG sets were bought from China & were transported to Bhivpuri from JNPT sea port.
• In 2007-08, four of the DG sets & related auxiliaries were shifted to Lodhivali for installation & commissioning
• Due to statutory approvals, project got hold up in 2008
• In 2010, management decided to convert these HFO based DG sets into dual fuel (Natural Gas + Liquid Fuel) & complete the project
• Transfer of additional land from GoM in 2010, helped to get all the Statutory approvals
• On October 3rd, 2011, Tata Power Declared commissioning of last machine to Chief Engineer - MSLDC
